Madeleine Mayi is an LA-based, Santa Barbara-raised singer/songwriter with a penchant for fearless songwriting and guitar-based indie rock. Her newest singledetails friends, foes, and the fearlessness she has had to embody to show the world that nice girls are not to be messed with. “Lights Out” is out now!
“‘Light’s Out’ is a song about backstabbers. It’s an anthem for the too nice, the trampled, and the shy.” - Madeleine Mayi
Madeleine Mayi “takes things really personally.” Of course, that’s not a bad thing when you’re a singer/songwriter with an unparalleled talent for making songs that make people feel. Her newest single, “Lights Out” details this trait of hers through introspective lyrics and quite the catchy tune. The bubbly melody reflects her normal personality, coupled with hard hitting lyrics to show that no matter how sweet she seems, Madeleine Mayi is not to be messed with. The single is an anthem to remind nice girls that they are allowed to be angry, and Mayi will put her boxing lessons to use on the next one who backstabs her.
As a thoughtful and unapologetic writer with a voice as agile as it is soulful, Mayi’s blend of indie rock and warm synths are nostalgia-inducing and wistfully honest. In pre-pandemic times, after releasing two excellent EPs, 2017’s Just the Six of Us and 2018’s shy and touring across the UK and North America by van, live performance became an integral part of Mayi's artistry. Her thrilling live performances are captured on some of YouTube’s most notable indie live music series such as Jam in the Van and Sofar Sounds. Mayi went on to release her debut album, 2/14 earlier this year. Her vulnerability in her tragedies touched the hearts of listeners, garnering praise from Flaunt Magazine, EARMILK, and more.
Be sure to stay up with Madeleine Mayi from the links below! Thanks for your time in checking this one out.

ABOUT GUORDAN BANKS
GUORDAN (Pronounced Jour-dan) BANKS is a singer-songwriter born and raised in North Philadelphia. Growing up, he was surrounded by a loving family — one of eight children. At a young age, Guordan struggled with a severe speech impediment, so his mother encouraged him to use singing as a form of everyday communication with the family. Singing became a way of life for Guordan and soon after he began exploring songwriting.
From his breakout track “Keep You In Mind,” to his successes working with the likes of John Legend and Chris Brown, to his comeback hit “Can’t Keep Runnin’,” Guordan has become the first solely independent artist to have a number one song on the Billboard Adult R&B chart, even winning a songwriting Grammy for “Mirror”.

Guordan released two full-length albums, ”Unpopular” and “Blood On The Vinyl”, receiving regular praise courtesy of Rolling Stone, Billboard, and more. Contagious and hard-hitting as a dancehall track, new single “Whine Masta” is inspired by talented and boundary-defying Toronto-based dancehall and R&B artist Omega Mighty’s Jamaican / Bajan heritage.
The new single was conceptualized after Omega Mighty found herself drawn to creating a song that would promote confidence and sensuality. With that idea fresh in her mind, Omega Mighty recalls she “really wanted to push the boundaries with the beauty looks.
“As a beauty professional,” she continues, “I always want to incorporate clean beauty elements with non-traditional elements…”
An eclectic female singer, songwriter and performance artist poised for greatness, Omega Mighty’s distinct lower register in which she sings gives her a unique edge. Coupled with her raw and edgy fashion sense, Omega Mighty is sure to give you something to think about long after you’re done listening to “Whine Masta.”
Watching the music video for “Whine Masta” is like a blast from the past after the last year of quarantine and the not so clear future ahead. Featuring a barnyard dance party, Omega Mighty was focused on showcasing a new and exciting dance after putting together a concept for “Whine Masta”s music video.
“The choreography features a newly created dance by Toronto Dancehall choreographer, Jonna Abrams, known as the ‘Mega Whine,’” Omega Mighty explains. “Named after myself, the simple dance is a sensual yet majestic whine that mirrors the song’s aesthetic.”
Reflecting back on how Omega Mighty wanted to include the dance break, she recounts that “the song had been complete for a year but, as I was writing the video treatment, I saw the opportunity for a dance break.
If you’ve been following Omega Mighty’s exciting career and it’s development, you’ll know already that Taabu (Spencer Heaslip) has done a lot of production and collaboration with Omega Mighty — including Haviah Mighty’s award-winning album, 13th Floor, and Taabu’s recently released album, Bellows.
Teenage UK hip-hop artist Divita recently released the video to his new single “Deep End”. “Deep End” is the first single off of his debut EP “Introspection”, available digitally now worldwide.
“Deep End”, created by UK producer Frosty Beats, is an introspective banger about redemption and turning from a negative lifestyle of theft and fraud to trying to live for God and living a life of purpose. This “Introspection” EP took around 6 months of constant writing and creating to finish.
“Rap shouldn’t be meaningless and repetitive but neither should it be full of meaning and also not enjoyable, there has to be a balance between having a ‘banger’ while underlying meaning.” - Divita.
Divita named the EP “Introspection” because of the importance of ‘Introspection’ and ability to deeply evaluate yourself. “Growing up especially with my faith as a Christian has propelled me to go into deep evaluation of my identity and the purpose I live for,” says Divita. “That’s why naming the EP I wanted it to revolve around deep thought, purpose and motivations.”
